Sonnet

Robinson Crusoe, a man of the sea
has been captured by men of great greed
He is surely doomed you must agree
But with the help of a slave he is freed

He escapes but is cursed again
By a storm of godly power and force
Alone on an island he must remain
He yells for help 'til his voice goes hoarse

He stays there for twenty-eight years
'Til finally he sees a footprint
He is scared when  a savage appears
not 'til he is far is he content

Yet again Robinson gets away
and his story lives on to this day
